Janice Ferraccioli grew up in Edinburgh. Throughout her childhood, Holyrood Park was her playground and, later, her creative inspiration. A graduate of English Literature at Edinburgh University, for over two decades she has been an educator of young people and adults within Further Education, teaching English, and later, an in-house teaching qualification for staff.

Independent of her Lecturing role, Janice has worked as a Private Tutor for twenty-five years, supporting learners of all ages to become confident individuals able to achieve their goals.

For the last decade, Janice has lived in the gorgeous village of Aberlady on the East Coast of Scotland with her husband and their two dogs, Byron and Fina. The beautiful beaches and woodland walks within walking distance of the village have enhanced her story-telling palette.  

A Friend for Mrs Mackenzie is Janice’s first children’s story.
